Jared Brown served as Special Advisor for Government Affairs at GCRI during 2019-2021. He also was Senior Advisor for Government Affairs at the Future of Life Institute. He previously worked as an Analyst in Emergency Management and Homeland Security Policy at the US Congressional Research Service and a Policy Analyst at the US Department of Transportation. His work supports the broader global catastrophic risk community’s policy outreach efforts, especially with the US government. He holds a Masters in Public Policy from Georgetown University and B.S. in Social Psychology from the University of California, San Diego.
